According to some sources, the use of neroli was popularized by Anne Marie Orsini a 17th century princess with influence in Nerola, Italy. Neroli is in fact the essence of orange blossom and serves as a pivotal base note, in very small quantity, in many of the worlds finest perfumes. Its soothing effect on the nervous system is well accepted and I have recognized this scent in affluent commercial establishments in Beverly Hills and Las Vegas, apparently to reduce the anxiety of A-list customers.
